Hi! 👋🏽 I'm Varad—a technologist at heart, a poker aficionado, and someone who won't stop evangelizing the movie Interstellar. A bit about me:

• My curiosity and love for technology led me to explore India's startup ecosystem. Currently, I'm part of the early product team at Sarvam AI, where we're building AI agents, starting with conversational voice agents. Earlier, at Headout, I led initiatives in the strategy and operations team to build internal systems that streamlined the process of taking experiences live using large language models (LLMs). I've also previously had the opportunity through internships to dabble in product management at Mosaic Wellness and sharpen my understanding of how data informs business and product decisions at Udaan.

• I've pursued short stints in venture capital at General Catalyst India, and in impact investing at Yunus Social Business (having been inspired by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus' work to use micro-credit as a means to alleviate poverty in Bangladesh).

• At BITS Pilani, I led the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (the entrepreneurship club) as President and also contributed towards 'Conquest' (a startup accelerator in India conceptualized and run by students). Startups supported by Conquest are worth $500M+ today and have caught the attention of leading investors. These have been transformative experiences; allowing me to push my boundaries, go beyond the confines of the classroom, and channel my passion for entrepreneurship toward making real-world impact!
